The firm has represented individually managed client accounts targeting value added
investments since 1989. While value-added investments remain a primary focus, LEI
has also branched into alternative investment strategies such as commercial and
hotel/resort mezzanine debt placement and the acquisition of student housing properties
with set operating partner. These investments have been undertaken through
individually managed accounts, closed end commingled funds and joint venture
partnerships and have achieved positive results for LEI's clients.
Operating Partners
LEI believes that locally based real estate operating and investment professionals
are integral to a successful real estate investment. Through Lowe, LEI
is affiliated with Lowe Enterprises Real Estate Group ("LEREG") which acquires,
develops and manages commercial properties and Lowe Hospitality Group ("LHG")
which acquires, develops and manages hospitality and resort assets. Where these
groups are not active, LEI has partnered with local operating partners. For
instance, LEI has invested with an experienced multifamily housing operator to
acquire an apartment building is West Los Angeles and teamed with a successful
student housing property operator to invest in multiple student housing properties
nationwide.
