The firm's lengthy experience managing properties for institutional owners led it to enter the investment advisory field in the late-1980s and Lowe Enterprises Investment Management (LEIM), the firm's registered investment advisory subsidiary, was formed. Lowe's experience with workout properties naturally led to a focus on value-added investments, and throughout the 1990s, LEIM built its reputation as a leading value added investor. In late 2004, Lowe combined its investment and capital markets activities to form Lowe Enterprises Investors (LEI), while maintaining LEIM as the firm's registered investment advisor. Through LEI and LEIM the firm currently manages over $3 billion of assets on behalf of a distinguished group of clients and investment partners.
